Whereas it is true that balloons are a must as decoration for every birthday party, they can also be included with games inside the party. This doesn’t require much time or effort, just creativity and a sense of humor. Next, we offer three proposals to make a party fun for the little ones with balloons:

  • Stepping on balloons: The first thing is to tie a balloon to each kid’s ankle. When they walk to the dance floor, they try to step on each other’s balloon according to the music, protecting their own. As they start losing their balloons they get eliminated, with the last one standing being the winner.
  • Balloon race: All participants are placed in the Start line with a balloon between their ankles. When the sign is given, they all jump towards the finish line keeping their balloon. If they drop the balloon to the floor or pop it they get eliminated. First one at the finish line with its balloon intact and without touching the floor wins.
  • Challenge balloons: Prepare a group of balloons filled with tiny notes with small tasks to fulfill. The tasks are entirely up to you and will depend on the players’ age range. The inflated balloons go attached to a wall. In turns, each child, blindfolded and with a pointy stick, will pop a balloon. Once popped, he must respond the question or fulfill the task inside the balloon. It will be up to the audience to determine if the kid has earned a price or not.
